Today we lack uniting ideas

Šarūnas Frolenko, President of the Council of Lithuanian Youth Organisations
Lithuania today lacks ideas that unite. There is much more scepticism, desperation and disbelief than solidarity, determination and faith.

It is difficult or even impossible to identify one particular aspect which unites the nation. Usually it is a joint effort aimed at achieving a particular goal which unites, but today we are more frequently chasing our own personal goals without looking for their links with the common ones. In my opinion the situation in the nation is like an organisation – personal goals are detrimental unless they contribute to the achievement of the common goal.

“The Road of Freedom” is one of the most interesting projects I have seen recently. This Project introduces citizenship and patriotism in manner understandable to many people, both young and elderly.
